Lansing, Michigan
Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural
Affairs Annual Meeting,
Lansing Convention Center
December 7, 2006
The first public event where I brought the DNA of Blue was
the annual meeting of the Michigan Council for Arts and
Cultural Affairs. It brings together people from all over the
state who are involved in the arts and culture so I thought it
would be a natural place to begin the project. I brought it on
my own, participation was free and anyone could participate.
I spread a black cloth on the floor and put out 12 shapes
painted in different shades of blue. Photos of other
arrangements were laid beside it. I made one arrangement
then invited other people to make their own arrangement.
I hit the Lansing Convention
Center with the DNA of Blue.
George Bayard III, MCACA
